It's not an air fryer. My neighbor here has one and swears by it; uses it almost every day. The Instant Pot is a 7 cookers in one (depending on the model) if I recall. The one we bought for my daughter was a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, saute, yogurt maker and something else. 8 qt. so it was fair sized.

I've dragged turkeys out of the woods that didn't have beasts that big.... In fact, a turkey with a beast like that probably would be too big to fry in my "turkey pot".... It's a 12 pound pot, anything bigger typically burns the edges before the inside of the "beast" is done.

That's definitely more than a D, a DD or even a DDD size beast !!!!!

We have a Instant Pot, but haven't used it yet. Maybe this thread will inspire us. I do a decent job on beef pot roast in a crock pot. I need to try something in the instant pot. Thinking out loud....we just did a big redfish courtbillion, I wonder how the instant pot would work. Think you can get it hot enough to make a roux?
But no, no brisket cooked fast.

Yep, it has a setting to heat up enough to make a roux

MY wife got one in the summer and it is in use at least once a week but usually more times. She is in love with it so my Big Green Egg and I are second fiddle now!

Seriously, my wife loves to cook and she says this the best small appliance she has ever had. And it is the only home appliance that comes out of the kitchen and into the camper.

It also means she can buy more cookbooks....
