Fuzion 342 Hydraulics

I just purchased a new 342 and when ever I run the level up system or main slide the hydralics leak around the item in the box in the picture attached. I dont have time to take it into service and was wondering if this is normal or is it alright to try and tighten the connections?

No leak is normal. I'd try to tighten the nuts that leak while under zero pressure.

Fixed

Thanks guys, I tightened it a bit and appears to have stopped when they are running. I just dont like messing with things when I am unsure what they are (not to mention I tend to always over tighten things).

If it continues to leak after you tighten the fittings, you might want to remove power from the pump, bleed pressure off the system and take the leaking union apart. Quite often there is damage to the flared ends or possibly even a split fitting. If you find something, obviously replace the damaged part, if you don't you might try a little Loctite 545 or 5452 thread sealant on the fitting threads. Renember, the "seal" in hydraulic fittings is NOT the threads, but rather the flared ends of the components.

Teflon tape is frowned on is hydraulic joints.

Thanks

Thanks for the information, hopefully I wont need to but if I do, I guess I need to figure out how to remove the pressure from the system. I am guessing I would have to do this with it connected to my truck too since the front landing jacks are part of the system. At that point it may be better to take to a deal since the unit is new.

If the dealer is close, you're not comfortable working on hydraulics and not real sure what you're looking for, then yes, the dealer is your best bet. Especially if you decide something is broken, you replace a hose or a fitting and open the door for Keystone to tell you that you voided your warranty
