New RVers from Southeast Texas

After looking at new and used 5th wheels, toy haulers and travel trailers for over a year, my wife and I found a great deal on a barely used 2015 Fuzion Chrome 345 and so far we couldn't be happier. Although it's a little bigger than I would have bought new for pulling with my 3/4 ton Ram, the price was right. So after installing 5k# airbags, our Cummins powered Ram pulls the rig like a champ. 🥊
We have never owned an RV before and of course had those jitters just thinking of pulling an RV of this size so we took a couple of short camping trips to get the feel for it. After retiring recently we hit the road to Florida for our first real road trip. Pulling the Fuzion was a lot easier than anticipated as long as I kept the size of the rig in mind. A few lessons learned were to quit worrying about trying to find a certain brand of fuel because I get a discount and allowing myself to get into stressful situations such as heavy in town traffic and remembering to use the slider when situations call for it. Otherwise we love the Fuzion and are always anticipating our next trip, especially our trip to Estes Park in June. 👍🏼
