Happy Jack bed Problem

I have a 2014 RP 300 Toy Hauler. I have put over 10,000 miles on it with no problems with the Happy Jack bed. Recent trip I went over 300 miles with the bed raised to put my Harley in RV. Stopped after 200 miles and dinette was down on bike!! I raised it back up. At destination, 100 additional miles, I visited a dealer and he said it was probably the switch. For $8 I purchased a new switch an put it in. at my destination my wife noticed dinette on bike again, even with the 'brake' on. This time the motor must have engaged because it bent the seat over the bike, and scratched the bike. I thought about putting stop pins on it like the bed has. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

I would think that you need to determine whether the dinette "drifted down" or whether the motor activated and ran it down. If it drifted down, there is a problem with the motor brake assembly. If it was driven down electrically by the motor, you most likely have electrical issues in the down circuit.

The second time it came down, it was definitely motor driven.

The obvious first place to look would be the switch....but you said you replaced that already. I'm assuming you are talking about the actual up/down switch...right? Does your model have the in control or whatever it is called that allows you to operate it remotely?

Appreciate your help. Replaced switch. I saw the electrical board behind the switch. Is that the 'problem'? No remote.

just a thought here, and not a real solution, but consider finding the 12v fuse that the motor runs on and pull it until you find the actual source of the issue, that is if you need to use the unit again before you find the source problem.
From the sounds of it, it may well be that circuit board you say you found behind the switch.
