Just ordered my ladder mountings. That's a great mod (store it on the back door) do you have any ideas on how to beef up the ladder steps? I was thinking about 1/4" all thread under each step with ss nilock nuts on both ends.

I never thought of beefing up the rungs. I've been up and down the ladder a lot and It's always held up under my weight (210)

My end caps on some steps we're crack. I also weigh 210. Scares me going up to the roof. Mostly standing up the radio antenna after we get where we are going.
Just received my LD 600 ladder foot pads from factory rv supply's. The only thing that's missing is the second hole for the pin. I Will take it to work and use the drll press to drill other side. Question what size screw did you use? And we're they stainless.

What second hole are you talking about. There should only be one hole in the side for the pin to snap into. The other pin is exposed so you can depress it and free the ladder. I used stainless screws. The biggest ones that fit in the hole and short enough so it wouldn't go through the ramp

This is my pin style for locking the ladder to the side of the 2010 raptor. It looks like a diaper pin has to go through foot pad.

I like that setup better than the way my ladder works.

As soon as this rain stops I'll have time to check it out. Going to Saratoga next Wednesday so I'll have it all figured out by the time I get back

Looks Good randy69
Are those sheet metal screws you used? Size? What is in the ramp that the screws are biting into? Any recommended order in putting supports on?

I used stainless steel #8 x 1 1/4 flat head wood screw (Home Depot 1.86 bag of 3 this was done just to get that long ladder out of the garage while on the road. Still would not trust it going up to the roof. And need to come up with a idea to beef up those steps when the end caps break and I fall on my. .???
