Ac Fan blows when furnace is on

Hi all!! Long time stalker , first time poster. We are proud owners of a 2019 Cougar 316RLS (I think that’s right), and we are currently in the mountains where is it COLD!! Our furnace runs beautifully, but the fan on the ac unit blows when it’s running . It’s cold air! We can’t figure out for the life of us how to shut that off. Ideas??

Welcome to the forum

Set the fan control to AUTO and the AC fan won’t blow while the furnace is on.

We’ve done that and it does shut off after the furnace shuts down, eventually, but it runs when the furnace is running.

It’s the In Command system, which I’m really on the fence about, it seems to have a mind of its own sometimes

You should be able to access the HVAC, do you have 2 zones by chance? If so then you need to be in zone 1 to control the fan.

We do have 2 zones and we do control the fan there. Also, we are plugged in and it’s not giving us the option to switch to gas. Do you think that’s what makes the difference?

It shouldn’t. You can try resetting the InCommand.

Do you have floor vents that are blowing out warm air? We have had the AC blower issue a couple of times, and I just thought it was to circulate the warm air, and then oh yeah, turn the AC blower fan to off...

We do have floor vents and yes, the air is nice and toasty. We tried resetting the in command system and that didn’t work. If we can’t get it resolved, it has to go in because for some reason, we have no water coming out of the kitchen faucet, but the rest of the coach is fine. I highly suggest if you buy and trailer, don’t purchase one that was built during Covid.

If you can, remove the spray head and see if iypu have water coming out the hose. If so it’s the sprayer head clogged, not uncommon.

On the In-Command display set the Fan to "off".

In "Auto" mode, that rooftop fan will run with the furnace heat.
This is by design, as it helps circulate interior air throughout the trailer faster.

In "High" or "Low" mode, the rooftop fan will run continuously.

If you don't want that rooftop fan running, select the Fan to "Off" when the Furnace mode is selected.

You can also check out the IN-Command website.
Lots of help there, with tech support phone number and owner/user manuals.

The easiest fix is shut the breakers off for the Air Conditioner(s).

RollaMo, thank you. We were freezing when we were trying to reset the system so we may have missed a step. We’re on our way home so we’ll work on it again when we’re in a slightly warmer climate.
