Furnace exhaust

My furnace exhaust stinks. It should have pretty much no odor. Right?
It has been ran before so I don't think it's burn off from the oils. Fresh tanks of propane. I wouldn't want to be parked next to me.

Greeting and welcome!

I'll take a WAG at this and say some insect(s) may have taken up residence and constructed a nest in there, and you might be smelling what's left of said insect and nest.

Exhaust from the furnace should be odorless, but deadly as it contains carbon monoxide.

I would remove the exhaust cover and take a look in there for foreign objects.

Good luck and take care!

You don't say the year of the trailer but guessing a 21 from your name? Did you buy it new or is it new to you? Like most any burn chamber if something is in it the fumes/exhaust will have the smell of whatever it is that just got torched. Hopefully you have outside access to the unit but I figure you've got something "stinky" in there getting toasted. On a 21 model there shouldn't be any "oils" left and they are gone after the first 5 minutes of running during break in.
