Newbie 5th Wheel Owner in AZ

I have a 5th wheel in Yuma, AZ. Really excited and nervous. Learning as I go!!

welcome and congrats. just take your time, look at everything, then relook. Plan what you're going to do then double check before you do it. Always do a walk around looking everything over close and step back far enough to see the top and do another walk around. You'd be surprised how man people pull out with antennas extended and such. You will learn as you go and do fine as long as you take your time.

Thank you for the advise. Good thing is the trailer is permanently parked, and will stay that way. It's my river/desert vacation home. But I do a walk around like you suggested when I arrive and when I leave. I'm still so nervous about forgetting something that I made a checklist to go over when I shut things down.

Congrats on your new to you vacation home.

Having a check list can be a great way of making sure you didn't miss anything. Since your not towing it, less things to look at. I've been yanking a fiver since '89 and STILL walk around it about 5 times before I put the seatbelt on and release the parking brake.
