Furnace doesn't heat below35 degrees

I have a interesting issue. my furnace works fine as long as the temperature is above about 40 degrees. below that it will blow but not heat. today it is 25 degrees here. sure enough, no heat. I can hear the igniter clicking but do not smell gas in the exhaust. I thought maybe it may be cold propane issue. took the tank and regulator off and took them in the house to warm up. no help. I removed the inside cover of the furnace and put a space heater blowing directly on the furnace. after about 15 minutes the furnace started working. any suggestions?

If you have the InCommand system this is a known issue. Some people have had to take a hairdryer to the thermostat to get it working.

A little information about the specifics of the trailer and the issues would help.

2015 keystone springdale. It has a Suburban heater with a regular mechanical thermostat. The heater is mounted under the refrigerator.

Lets set the record straight; Propane stops boiling at -44 deg. F

This is not an opinion it is fact. anything above -44 deg F and your propane system will work. Remember your physics lesson, boiling liquid produces a cooling effect so the liquid (propane) in the bottle will be cooler than its surroundings. When you use propane the liquid in the tank boils off into a gas. Here in lies the variable, the larger the discharge (discharge from a propane tank) the greater the cooling effect. So if your tank is enclosed in a vented enclosure it is difficult to tell at what ambient temperature the internal liquid will reach -44 deg F. Most heaters will cycle and the off cycle allows for warming of the tank.

There are other things that will restrict the flow, Moisture in the tank is one.
