I abandoned my Fifthwheel

Yep, I hooked it up and hauled it to the dealer I bought it from!

Mostly 'cause my DW and I bought a new fiver, couldn't use 2 at once

As usual, bought new tires for the old one recently, darn
Now the upgrades begin in earnest!

1. Looking at Rear Monitor/Backup camera
2. Hardwired EMS from Progressive Industries
3. Of course roof vent covers
4. Stair tread covers.

Nice I am liking my Furrion more each time I use it; only had it a month and have pulled the trailer just a few miles each time and it works great.

Pulled the rig out this morning and got most of the stuff loaded back in it. Unfortunately it isnt going to get above freezing for the next week, so no flushing anti freeze quite yet.

Before the first trip in two weeks planning on installing a camera on the back so I can see the boat.

Uncovered the tires and the Air Conditioners(I don’t cover the trailer). Cleaned out the garage. We tend to accumulate things we don’t really need on every trip throughout the camping season so the trailer got to shed a few pounds and recover some space. Ran the generator for two hours under load. Ground the bedroom door strike plate so the door will close properly. Since new, it wouldn’t latch while hitched. Finally, installed these on the doors:

Friday: Washed the roof and installed the new battery.

Saturday: De-winterized and sanitized the freshwater system, inspected the roof and preventatively sealed some spots, lubed the wheel bearings and stabilizer jacks, loaded some things we have been holding for camping season, lubed the slide seals and wipers.

Today: Washed the awning, tested the AC.

Dust and cleaned.
Pulled all the window screens and used shop vac with brush attachment to get dust out of the window sills, and cleaned the screens.
Leather care for the couches.
Have a 4 seated couch with individual recliners. One d-handle release cable broke off a few months ago. Had for a month a new and got it on today. Super easy. Going to get another one to have as a spare.
Pre-wired some more blue LED strips for the kitchen floor effect.

Purchased a set of 5 locks, 2 entry and 3 cargo to replace all the locks on my RV so 1 key opens everything. Got the 2 chrome door locks mounted and then realized I needed a pop rivet gun and drill to do the cargo locks. Exercised my gen while I was working on the doors, now waiting on good weather to do the cargo sets.

E-Rod, hopefully our SO's don't read your post. I had to take a nap and then have a couple cold one's and that was just from reading what you've done.

Tightened screws in cabinet hinged and latches - wired an additional touch light under the cabinet next to the switch panel so we won't need a flashlight to turn on the lights. Wired in additional 120v receptacles that run off the inverter in the outside kitchen (for the little fridge) and in the entertainment center (for the t.v.)

I cleaned the roof and resealed it with ProtectAll. while up there discovered that the 3 roof drain pipe vent covers were pretty much dry rotted, replaced all 3 of them with the new Camco slide/snap in ones. pain the get the old off but got it all done. Also sealed a few cracks in the front AC cover. The back(main) one is still in pretty good shape.
Also allowed the wife to place a wall hanging picture arrangement on the blank wall as you walk up to the bedroom/bathroom landing.
The camper is riding great on the new axles with wet bolts and the 4 new endurance tires.
Forgot that I replaced the vinyl trim molding around the door frame with nice new white molding trim and got rid of the moldy looking stuff.
And enjoyed 7 nights at OLCG in myrtle beach for spring break.
just a few things this year,
randy

Exercised the 3.6K genset - and it actually started via the electric starter with not a problem for a change.

Unfortunately the weather is still lousy - 38 *F is not much fun for outside work. Then there is the rain moving in. At least it isn't the dratted white stuf we were expecting...... yet

I installed my LevelMate Pro, upgraded to a better bedroom mattress, and installed 90lb bedlift struts.

Waiting another week or so to de-winterize it. Our first camping trip will be a local one at the end of the month.

Set up the WDH assembly, sanitized the fresh water system, cleaned old nasty grease from the power jack strut then re-greased, and filled propane tanks. Heading out Friday evening for a 2-nighter at a nearby campground with the 6-yr-old granddaughter and DW. It's been sunny gorgeous for two weeks... and the rain is supposed to arrive Thursday evening. We've called it quits on wood campfires after years of smoke & sparks & splinters, so we'll gather around the "Outland Firebowl 883 Mega Outdoor Propane Gas Firepit" (there's a mouthful !!) under the awning and hope it don't go drip, drip, drip anywhere but the edges.

Prepping our avalanche for a 5k trip this month. added a furrion observation camera. Also adding a on/off lighted toggle switch to turn camera on and off. Power to camera was hot all time. power tied into accessories circuit and was the last item on line.

De-winterized in NJ! It’s official. The pink stuff is out of the lines. No winter damage found(yet). I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out why my pump wouldn’t stop running and no water was coming out before I had a “doh!” moment and realized that my winterize switch was in the on position. Oops.
