I've got the fall and wintertime blues

First the Dodgers lost to Houston in the World Series. Then last weekend we spent what was probably our last weekend in the camper for this year. The Cougar is winterized and all tucked into it's storage shed for the long winter nap and here I sit depressed.

While I was cheering for the Dodgers, the bigger issue is that baseball season is over for this year. I always go into a bit of a funk in the late fall as football and basketball just don't move my needle like America's Pastime. On top of that, since we first bought the pop-up a few years ago, I've found our weekend getaways are pure blood-pressure lowering rest and relaxation. I may not do a darn thing other than trying to catch a few fish, but I absolutely love it!

So here I sit trying to get my fix by living vicariously through my Internet friends on this and a couple other camping forums -- who are still out there enjoying Mother Nature -- with eager anticipation for mid-February when pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training.

Go South young man ... go south. That is what your teams do. The camping season is just beginning here. I promise to leave a few fish just for you.
