New Alpine Issues
We have a new 2017 Alpine that I can level it to perfection and the door is very hard to open and close, it grabs on the upper right hand corner (looking from inside). Has anyone else have this problem? And the underbelly is coming loose at the screw/washer fastener, which doesn't look like a very good setup .

How are you leveling in the unit? With the door binding like it is, I would think it’s out of level. I normally level mine using a bubble level on the countertop or on one of the refrigerator shelves.

Your coach probably has hydraulic 6 point leveling, known as “Level Up”. I would press auto level and let it finish WITHOUT anybody in the trailer. Then when the display says “success” use a level and verify the unit is actually level front to back and side to side. I suspect it’s not, and if it isn’t, Lippert website will have instructions on how to reset the calibration.

As far as the fastener coming out, remove it the rest of the way and replace with a self tapping screw.
These things happen with towing.

My old fashion 2012 Avalanche does not have level up and my door has had the same problem since new. I'm thinking about putting one of those rod like on a screen door.

Chuckster 57 I have done that on several occasions, same deal , leveled it in my drive and then let the auto level do it and it's the same deal. Could MAYBE the door be the problem ?

I'd look at the door and where it binds up. Is there anything odd about the way it looks?

I might also add that a 24" minimum carpenter's level should be used with the most accurate area being the floor in the middle of the RV. Front to rear, side to side. YMMV

Depending on how you level your 5er, that front frame flexes some. If you look at the doors you will see that the hinges are not mortised in but are surface mounted. The clearance between the door and door frame is pretty tight. With only a small amount of twist, the doors will jam. Ours has been tight since new and mortising the hinge at least on the door side is on my list to do this spring.
Also, you may need to recalibrate the self leveling system and that carpenter's level along with a set of Lippert's instructions as noted above are your friends.

Thanks people for all the suggestions. The window in the leveling system is showing all is level, I have a 4' level I put on the floor thru out the inside of the trailer and it at worst bubble was touching center mark.
The door when closed it is bowed out in the middle (where the handle is)... I'll take some pictures later of the door and the underbelly.

The display will show “level” based on feedback from the “sensors” mounted on the frame. It’s quite common for them to come from the factory out of level. One of the first things I do is “auto level” a coach and then verify. More often than not the display says all good and it isn’t. I then reset zero point, and then test.
If your entry door is bowed in the middle, that is a different issue. Does it close properly when your jacks are retracted, hooked up or just front legs down?

Same issue with our Avalanche - hitting the frame in the upper right hand corner. The paint has been scratched in the area. I put car way in the area for now - will try tweaking the door frame when it gets warmer out.
