No battery power for PowerPackage Items Stabilizers and Slideout
During our camping trip last week, there was no 12-volt (battery) electrical power to the stabilizers and slide-out. Both are included in the PowerPackage along with the Tongue jack and Power Awning. Interior and exterior lights worked. All worked when 7-pin plug was plugged into tow vehicle with the engine off. Not a camping trip stopper, but a problem. I checked and replaced the fuse at the front of the RV but still no battery power. Any ideas??

On our Cougar, the slides and stabilizers are wired through a resettable fuse. Ours is located next to the batteries. Yours may be in the storage area. Since other 12v accessories work I don't think it's the disconnect. In our case the wiring from the truck is on the field side of the resettable fuse so slides etc would be running from the truck battery.

I think the little voices in my head have started a chat group.
What you're looking for is two of these, probably located on the front bulkhead just behind the battery box. They are "reliable to a degree" and at the same time, they "easily corrode and stop working".... I'd say they are the "weakest link" in the 12 VDC system, especially on travel trailers where they are exposed to the elements. On fifth wheels, typically they're located inside the front storage compartment, so somewhat less prone to corrosion.
Anyway, look for a couple of these, probably one is 40 or 50 amps and the other is 30 amps. Let us know what you find to be the cause of your problems... Good Luck
