Brought home the new Sprinter

Well, the wife and I spend all Saturday at the dealer. It was a 3 hour drive each way then sat at a table for about 4 hours before we could do our walk through (PDI). I had them install the reese goosebox, best thing ever. Wind was blowing very hard yesterday and the drive home was so much more comfortable then the trip up with the TT.

Kickin', do you know that Ford makes their pickups with a color called Kodiak brown, a perfect match.......just giving you a hard time. Congrats and they look great as a rig.

I also wanted to ask about a lift on this unit. It has the correct track system on it so I guess Im just wondering if I can just add some lift blocks? I work for a off road company and some blocks are very easy to come by but didn't know if there was something else out there. I just want to move my head down to give me more clearance on my bed, it was touching today when I put it in its spot beside my shop.

It may be the angle of the picture, but it sure looks like your new trailer is sitting a couple inches higher in the back than in the front. The bottom edge of the lower aluminum edging looks like the trailer is slanting "down" in the nose. Maybe, if you get it on a good level parking lot and measure the distance from the frame to the ground front and back you'll know for sure. Possibly, there's enough slope to lower the pinbox a couple inches without jacking the trailer or adding blocks to the suspension ????

JRTJH, I thought it was level but you bring up a good point. I will have to hook up and take some measurements. Was so excited when we got home I didn't look at it that close.

You were able to experiance how nicely a 5'er pulls compared to a TT in the same day.

Very nice. Congrats

It may be the camera angle and the shadows, but I'd sure check it closely before I started adding anything to the suspension. Fifth wheels now days are built to be a very close match to the current model trucks in pin height, so unless your truck is lifted, you should be able to adjust and get 6-8" of bed rail clearance without modifying the suspension. Good Luck and let us know what you find......
