Slide Out-No Power
2005 Springdale 266RELL
Trying to extend my electric slide out but nothing happens. No motor noise at all. Both batteries at 13.55v, plugged into shore power, everything else works. All fuses are good and circuit breakers that are in the fuse panel are not tripped. I tried to check for power in the switch and in the connections behind the switch with a multimeter and got nothing. I have no electrical experience at all and rely on forums and YouTube.
Another thread discussed other places to find a circuit breaker i.e. On the frame near the batteries, but I can't find it.
I can extend it manually, so there is no jamming, but I do not hear any hum or click from the motor.
This is killing me, any help is most appreciated.

The resettable fuse on the a-frame looks like this.

If you look at the power distribution center, one side has breakers for the 110VAC appliances and the other side has fuses for the 12VDC appliances. Often times at the top or bottom of the fuses you will find a large rectangular thing plugged into the fuse slot. It is a thermal reset circuit breaker.
With no power to the switch, I would check that. Everything else 12V works?

To CTBruce: Wow, I've been looking at that resettable fuse for 2 days and had absolutely no idea what it was-DOH!...
To Chuckster57: I'll check that this morning. Everything 12V works. This happened 3 or 4 years ago and it was loose battery cables, but that is not the case this time.
To all: The resettable fuse has corrosion on one terminal. Is it just a matter of cleaning it or is it something that needs to be replaced? If it is faulty would it stop current to the rest of the trailer i.e. lights, etc?
To Chuckster57: Only 25+ years? You were just getting to the fun part. I did 35 years at VCSO south of you. Hope it was as good a career for you as it was for me!

Typically, the 12VDC circuit breakers are a "definitely not waterproof" plastic or metal box with the electric parts assembled on a top board with the two terminals that you see. If there is corrosion on the terminals, you'll usually find that the inside is also corroded. They only cost about $4-5, so replacing them is almost always the best option. The only time I'd attempt to clean corrosion is if I were in the woods and needed a temporary repair to get home. Otherwise, I'd always opt for replacing any visibly corroded 12VDC circuit breaker box. YMMV

well, it's now working correctly! I found one wire to the resettable fuse was not secure. Thanks to everyone who gave such great advice!

And the same to you. Other than getting run over by a fire truck and a lifetime of fungal meningitis, I came through unscathed. Miss my guys, but not captains (hope you weren't one).
