On the other hand, a dumpster constructed of 1/4 or 3/8 plate steel with balances or hydraulic assist lids is a different issue and denotes a real bear issue (Yosemite, Yellowstone, and others come to mind). Be "bear aware" and store and dispose of items as prescribed by local authorities and you should not have any issues. If you have questions contact the campground you will stay at they will know best for the particular area and season.
Quite a few of the places in the Adirondacks and Alleghany mountains have their dumpsters inside electric fenced off areas.

They never bother my grill, if I cook it off a bit. They do know what things look like. This morning. . . Momma checking out the trash can. https://ring.com/share/6582385333606354034

In the campground, you will be required to put the grill/cooler/etc ... inside something though. Rangers love to take your Yeti full of beer

Nope, just a byproduct of having Ring. That trash can is about a mile from CMSP, that the OP inquired about. The can there has never had any type of food in it. Those have to be inside.

The grill is out back, as are a couple of game cams. One of those often goes camping with us. It is interesting what goes on while you are in the camper for the night.

I've talked to 4 people that work at CMSP. All have said to just burn it off and you can leave it out.

Most park authorities have their own set of rules. So what you find at CMSP and Yellowstone will be different. At Yellowstone, they had slightly different rules at different campgrounds the last time we were there. Mueller State Park is roughly 25 miles from Cheyenne Mountain State Park and they don't have the same rules.

Personally, I would rather leave the grill out and the coolers put away. I have had a black bear break a car going after groceries, in the trunk. My neighbor made national news with a bear in his kitchen. Much like a thief; if they really want in, they can get in. Make yours a slightly harder target than the camper next to you, and you will likely be good.

I had to put the grill in the front storage area at RMNP. There were no bear boxes close to my site.

Get a smaller grill if you can’t stow it. A bear attacking may leave a mark that you aren’t able to live with.

The plastic bag idea is pretty good, but do not know if it will stimy a bears nose which is incredible, but may be under your truck in the bags, or spray the bags with some bleach solution. I live 3 miles from CMSP and we have seen bears in our neighborhood going through trash, so they are around. Mueller just upgraded to larger bear boxes.

Our house is in black bear country.. I clean the cooking BBQ gear, and anything else that touches food with bleach water mixture, and then take it inside. We do the same thing when we are camping, in even more remote areas, and never had any problems.

Normally Fire, does not interest bears, but scraps, leftovers, and dirty cookware, and ice chest sure will.

Problem solved, just gotta make me one of these grills and padlock it before bedtime. Bears be playin' "heavy metal" music all night long.

You might want to check the gauge of the metal on that rig I would suggest 3/8" plate minimum. I heard, then saw the remnants of some campers "metal" gear one night - mostly shredded. And, that grizzly did play some "heavy metal music" as he shredded everything he could find - the metal literally screeched as his claws when through it. He was accompanied by the screaming of the campers there. He didn't play music all night long - just until he tore up everything he could find....then he moved along. Then the chorus began; the campers hollering, crying, banging and clanging as they literally threw everything they had in the back of a pickup then hauled it out of there. Finally, FINALLY some peace and quiet so we went back to sleep.
