Power jack stoppedworking

Anyone have any issues with the power tongue jack stopping working. Just tried to disconnect it from my truck and now it won’t do anything. Weird thing is the light on the tongue still turns off and on

My first guess is that your RV battery is too weak to power the jack itself. Try plugging your trailer back into your truck, with the truck running try the jack again. If that works, it's the RV battery. If not, it is on to further trouble shooting. Good luck and let us know how turn out.

Mine has an inline fuse - that might be your issue as well.

Possibly the circuit breaker on the frame rail? That wouldn't explain the light still working though.

Whoops! If you are referring to the built in light on the jack the fuse won't be the issue. When I read it I was thinking the lights on the front of the trailer - my bad. Back to a fuse at the panel, low battery or bad jack seems like.

You don't list brand of jack so I'm guessing. Most lights on jacks are LED and don't take much to illuminate. Plug it into the truck or shore power and see if it works. At first blush with limited info I'd say it's a battery issue. Check battery voltage and check connections for corrosion.

The battery is full and the camper is plugged into power. I don’t know off hand the brand of the jack. Either way it’s uo at the dealership now getting warranty work done. We will see what the issue is.

I see your getting it serviced. I had the same issue and my jack just died after about 4 years of service. Someone showed me how to manually jack it when they die. on my model ("jack rabbit) you unscrew the level bubble insert tool and manually crank it to lower or raise it. If someone didn't show me, I would not have known I could manually raise and lower it. This is a good think cause I was using a tire jack to raise it and it did not work to get the job done... (too short)

Most likely water got in the motor and locked it up. It happened to mine, I took it apart got the water out, cleaned and lubed it up. Got it working again, and from then on I put an inverted five gallon bucket over it when parked to keep it dry and never had an issue again.
