StrapTek

I recently replaced the chains on my standard WD hitch with StrapTek, and I'm actually shocked by the difference. I was dubious of the claim the friction sway bar was no longer necessary so I kept it in the front storage just in case.
Hookup was much easier and faster. My first tow was about 170 miles in calm weather, but it was quiet back there and no sway.
The return home was intermittently stormy and I drove through two storm "outflows" with about 50 mph gusts. I got pushed around some, but no sway and I never left my lane (DW needed a drink).
Anyone looking for an economical upgrade to a standard friction setup, this is great. I think I paid $130.

When I had my tow behind trailer, I had bought a Blue Ox Sway Pro for my W.D. hitch. Shortly after using it a couple of times I ditched the B.O. pullups and chains, then installed the StrapTek system in its place. I used it for two years and have to say, it was one of the best things I bought for the trailer. Right up there with LevelMate Pro and the Anderson leveling wedges.

Im curious how the anti sway works. Most chain only setups don't really do sway, just WD.

Chains have full articulation and most recommend using no more than 6 chain links. With StrapTek the bars can be raised to the frame if desired. I have about 1" of strap showing and the straps do not allow any lateral bar movement.
