Adding third air conditioner
Our 2017 fuzion 371 is apparently set up for a third AC unit in the garage. Is the standard 50amp service adequate for three ac units? Any thoughts on other considerations. Thanks Bill

It’s my understanding that the bedroom one will run and the other two will cycle, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

I have a 4141 and the main living area of the trailer runs all the time and the bedroom and garage switch off. In the new fuzion's all three can run together but they throttle themselves down to 11k inside of 15k.

I understand in the 2017 , 2 units will run at one time. The main a.c. unit and the garage or bedroom... not all three....you have to chose.
In the 2018 all 3 will run and cycle on and off on 50 amp , the new system cycles all 3 for you.
It will cycle 2 units on 30 amp.
Fuzion made a major change in 2018 to the system.

If the 2018 cycles air conditioner units differently than the 2017 and previous year models, then the electronic controls for HVAC management have been changed. I'd suspect a different type of thermostat and control unit/sensing units are wired into the trailer. No doubt the HVAC control system can be installed in previous models, the question becomes: "what did they use and how is it installed?". Once that is determined, a third air conditioner can be added to any trailer, but how it functions is a direct result of how the system is controlled and interacts with the other two air conditioning units.
I've no idea what the 2018 system costs or what components would be required to install it in previous model trailers, but I'd suspect the price for components would probably be more than the price for the third rooftop unit.
In other words, to make a 2017 Fuzion HVAC system do what a 2018 Fuzion HVAC system does ain't gonna be cheap.

you can easily run 3 air conditioners on 50 amp. I have run 3 on 30 amp with the cheater 20 amp plug helping.

Yep 3 15k ac can run on one 50 amp plug. Theres 100 amps of 120volts each ac take 14 amps each.
All the big motorhomes have 3 units and run all at the same time.

Do you have to modify your wiring to get that done?

yes, I had to modify wiring. you need to get rid of the box that controls which unit is getting 110 volt. then I added another breaker to run the 3rd ac unit. took an hour or so. pretty easy.

Called keystone yesterday hoping they could verify if camper was pre wired. Might better have asked my great grand daughter( she is one) also asked them what size and make my rear black water tank valve was, they had no clue! So I open up the the blank outlet near the vent bingo, power wire, and two thermostat lines.

We have a portable air unit that we use in our 2015 371. It came with a unit in the bedroom and garage. The living room vents just don't keep that area cool so we bought a portable unit. Husband plugs it in by itself into the 30 amp plug on the pole. Voile we have 3 airs. We let our daughter use it her 40' TH garage. Works great.

maybe Im not understanding correctly, but wouldn't the air con be the same as the heat pump? its the same compressor, just a 3-way valve switching the heating to a cooling coil. You wouldn't need 2 power feeds.
