Wires on switch are 12 guage white / yellow, and black on the awning arm, have to see if I can see the connections for that junction point.

Your switches are a very simple "pop out" of the control panel by the front door (assume your 2018 is the same as my 2022).
See the YELLOW/WHITE wires on the left? That's the awning control wiring. THOSE CRIMPS WERE TERRIBLE. A quick pull on them and the spade lug end popped right off. I'd start there by re-crimping all of those connections with better crimp ends, followed with heat shrink. Get the marine grade ends and a good crimping tool.
Start there! I'll wager that's part of your problem right there.
