Dead Bolt

Just brought home our new Cougar 330RBK. I thought I had done a pretty good pdi but when I tried to lock the door the dead bolt doesn't fit into the hole to lock the door. The hole cut in the side wall is to high by about a 1/4 inch. Is there anyway to adjust for this or am I going to have to cut down enough to make room for the bead bolt tab?

Looks like you and your trusty file are going to get some bonding time this week-end. Somehow it seems that ALL items can't be covered on a PDI!

Make sure your unit is level before you make any adjustments. If it's not, it may not be lining up for that reason.

Are you sure that the Latch Plate in the door jamb is not mounted upside down I just looked at mine and it is possible to mount it with the wide side at the bottom

The entry door on my High Country 299RKS has sagged slightly with time. I now have to pull up on the door to mate the bolt to the hole. I will look for solutions like a file.
