Just Wanted to Say Good Bye and Thank You!

Deb and I purchased a new 5th wheel today and traded our Cougar HC 299RKS. We loved our Cougar and, man, did I put a lot of work in to this unit. I hope whoever buys it will be very happy with it.

This has been a great group and I will still visit but I just wanted to say thanks and maybe we'll see you down the road.

Paul And Deb

Grand Designs are VERY nice. It was a toss up between their top of line and the Alpine.

Best of luck.

My wife and I saw the 337RLS at a recent RV show. It's a well designed unit. Great floorplan. If we were in the market now it would be on our short list.
Congrats.

Just because you have gone over to the dark side does not mean that you have to leave us. Much of the info you find here can apply to just about every other trailer on the road. I, for one, hope you stick around and occasionally let us know about your travels. Good luck and happy holidays, Hank

My next unit

Great choice Poppy. I have been looking hard at the 337 Reflection.
I think it will be a good first 5vr for us.
Best of Luck & Happy Camping.

Congratulations Poppy! That is a beautiful rig. Stay with us…after all…a rig is a rig.

That was on our short list as well. Very nice rig.
When we were looking a few months ago I found their forum and dug around in it a bit. Seems Reflection has a factory rep that monitors their forum.
Good luck with it. Drop back in later and let us know how you like it.

Thanks so much to everyone for the well wishes. As I said, I love this community so I will stay active. You're all correct, a rig is a rig! Most of the components are all common to all makes and models.

I ha ve been busy today de-modding our Cougar. For instance I contacted Mor/ryde today and was thrilled to hear my Mor/ryde will transfer to the new trailer as a direct fit. I may (only may) need to change out the rubber spring to one size heavier but the tech said he would suggest pulling it for a while and see how it feels. Sounds good to me and it's an easy, inexpensive repair if I do need to do it. A lot cheaper than a whole new pin box!!

Happy Trails my friend. I will miss your great posts. We are not that far apart, perhaps we will cross trails someday. In the meantime, stop by often here.

A quick note to say we picked up our new trailer on Tuesday.

It arrived at our dealer from Indiana on Monday:

We went camping in it this weekend and are very happy.

I have already added one modification ... a bottle opener on the curb side slide out

Paul -
A very nice-looking unit! You mean it didn't come with a bottle opener? Both you and your wife should be really pleased with it - especially since you've added the opener. Congratulations.

Thanks. I'm wondering how long this one will take for the cap to fade to a dull chalk? My Cougar only took about 9 months and then it was irreversible.

She has already added furniture for crying out loud

The coffee table was a whole $18 at Walmart!

That table does give it a nice touch. How do you store it when travelling?

FWIW, we haven't seen a single Grand Designs unit come back with a faded cap.
