Rear bumper shelf bike wheel stabilizer

I want to ship my bike on the slide out storage . I need an idea on how to stabilize the wheels

First of all, what do you mean by "bike"? Are you talking about a 30 pound bicycle, a 300 pound motorbike or a 1000 pound Harley?

If I understand the question, which I may not, I use small bungee cords.

Most likely not what you want to hear but the bike rack that comes on that "pull-out" rack is useless. I removed my spare tire and mount and purchased a proper bike rack for the rear bumper. It's the style that has hoops for the wheels to sit in and not move around.

Agree. I have a 2" receiver on the back of my 5er and run a 4 bike tray rack. As for the OP's original question, if I was going to use the rack on the back, small bungies or zip ties would be my choice to stabilize the wheels.
