Had a situation recently where the 30A breaker in the electrical pedestal was faulty -- it was wobbly and wouldn't maintain a steady connection. Having a 50 to 30 dogbone on hand made it just a transient ever-so-minor nuisance rather than a major problem.

I've been in the same boat more than once!
Arrive at the campground & all the sites are 30 amp for my 50 amp 5th wheel.
Since that time I carry a 30 to 50, a 15 to 30 & a 30 to 15 adapters also a 15' & 25' 50 amp extension cord along with 2-12 gauge 25' extension cords & about 40' of sewer hose, 75' of water hose, boy scout training, always prepared.

We need to know where those open sites are. We can only find small open sites for October and November weekends.

Weekends?

They're most likely overnight stops on our way somewhere else. Places like Crowley LA, Ozona, TX, Monticello FL. Places where if I'm spending a weekend, it's because something I own broke down.

trend

From what i've seen and heard most campgrounds are switching to 50amp due to the large rigs now. The campground we stay at for the summer are slowly switching over.
