2012 Cougar fiver

Checking in from Crossville TN. Just got a 2012 Cougar 30' fiver w/2 slides, and a Chevy 1500 short box. Pulls good with the sliding hitch dealer installed. Bought in MI, and it handled the 7100# rv great coming back to TN.

Curious which model you have. Our 282RESWE loaded for camping weighs just under 10K with about 1800# on the pin. You might want to do yourself a favor and run your rug over a scale. Good luck with it. Happy travels.

We have the 29rls which is 7100# on the sticker and my truck is rated at 9300 so hope we are ok. May do the scale if I ever get near one again. LOL We only have 2 slides and the truck got 11 mpg on the trip so was happy with that. Thanx for you advice.
