New 2018 3500 Denali.

I just got 500 mile brake in and towed 200 today. The new roller bed adapted to older Reese fifver hitch needed a small edges trimmed to fit into the bed . With the new gmc fifver system will allow me to make sharper turns and possibly jack knif with out hitting the truck .

Let's see the truck! Congrats! If I weren't trying to sell my 5er I'd love a new truck, well a new GMC!

Depends on how heavy your TT is and type hitch you have. I suspect you have a 2 1/2 with sleeve and with the sleeve in you hitch is probably rated to 1250 pounds with WD and 600 without. The 2 1/2 inch should be rated to 1900 with WD and 800 without or close to that. I know a lot 1 tons have just a 2-inch hitch and are only for 1250 pounds like my 2015 Ford F350 was. Since class IV hitch is rated to 1400 pounds tongue weight I ask Ford rep why and he said it wasn't the hitch but other concerns that limited the ratings. There should be a sticker on your hitch giving the ratings. My neighbors Ford has one that looks like this.

If your tongue weight is over 1250 make sure your WD hitch has 2 1/2 shank.

It look like this pic might post from the blm of AZ. I trad d 2013 lml 2500 for the 1 ton. The 2500 did very good handling the heavy impact. The 1 ton is more stable more powerful , quite and new . The 2500 was in my observation was safe and comfortable and over weight. It blew a turbo valve that cost 300 and 1100 labor being broke down at a Laughlin casino parking lot is not fun.

Nice new truck!
We have a 3500 DRW LML 2011. Been good so far with small things needed done. Our dealer service research showed some past warranty work including a new turbo. The prior owner traveled with a 5er.
Any insight on the LML you can pass along? Ever had CP4 pump issue, Regen issue, etc?

I must admit even though I am a Mopar man the [email protected] Mans Cruiser does look better than the cheby and both are sharp trucks. I see on the 2019 1500's GM finally realized wheels are round again.

I think if I had used synthetic oil and 5 k miles oil change I might have prevent the 300 $ turbo valve 1100 labor charge . The valve got clouded and preventing the variable vain turbo from working derated the engine. The new duramax requires syn oil and gm filters.
