Keystone Cougar X-Lite 28RKS

My husband and I are picking up our new fifth wheel in a couple of weeks, after the dealer installs the hitch and adds the bedroom AC. I'm slowly accumulating supplies for the kitchen and stressing over mundane things like a dish drainer that fits in the sink (I think I nailed it....I hope) and sheets for the bed (just going to wait until we actually have it here).
This is a new experience for me--I tent camped for several years but never in trailer, but my husband had one years ago (lived in it, not just camping), and his parents had a HUGE trailer. We are the only two in it (well, add a neurotic chihuahua), so it will seem a lot bigger to me than our tent.
We aren't planning any long trips yet--just local getaways for the weekend or a week during the summer.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer. If you do a search there are several lists of items you may want to consider to include in your new rig. Good luck and go have fun!!

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. You'll love the new rig. If you ever miss sleeping on the ground without heat or AC I'll be really surprised. Have fun. The first time you camp do it close to home or someplace that has a store close by in case you need something. Enjoy the new memories you'll be making.

Welcome, my wife and I are new to this forum and we live just down the road from you in Newburgh. We are really anxious for warm weather so we can start camping.

Welcome to the forum from Kansas City, MO! Enjoy your new rig when you get it. We ran out and bought a lot of stuff the first year because we were sure we would need it. This year I'm going through and taking some of it out because it was never used. I'd suggest a buy because you need it process rather than a buy because I might need it mind set. Good luck. Come on spring!

We're probably going to hit the city campground in Carmi, Illinois--just a couple of hours away. It is supposed to cost about $16 a night with full-service. We have friends who camp there and love it,

That's a great price for a CG. Love to see some pictures and your review after you go. Enjoy.
