Who doesn't? It's now become more of an expectation than a. Irritation. At least I know I'll be at her funeral before she is!

Liz Taylor did that...She purposely put the wrong time in her obit, so she could be late for her own funeral.

DW is the queen of pfaffing around. I'm continually surprised by how many little last minute tasks she needs to do before we get out the door.
Oh well, that's just the way of it. No good making a fuss as it doesn't hurry her and it's like teaching rabbits to sing...It's a waste of time and it annoys the rabbits.

Just the opposite today. DW had a medical appt, at 2:45 (so she thought). Asked me to let her sleep til 2:15, she gets herself up at 2:05 and realizes her appt was for 2:15...office is 20 minutes away. OMG I have never seen her get ready that fast.

Wonder if I can use it as a standard??

At least you know what Can be done
I was somewhat sarcastically reminded as we were leaving only an hour past the agreed upon time, that she (who must be obeyed) not only has herself to get everything packed for but also me and the dog. I said hooey on that cause I've shared dog treats before!

We always tell our daughter and her husband that dinner time is an hour before the actual time. They both revel in the "Oh look at us; we're late. We're so sorry." They aren't allowed to bring anything for the main meal, just desserts. Wouldn't that work with your SO's?

I must be married to the exception, rather than the rule. Peggy and I are both perpetually early for everything we do and usually are ready at approx. the same time. In fact, if anyone is running a minute or two late....it's usually me. She's a Type "A" personality though, so that explains a lot. Me, I'm pretty laid back, but was raised to be punctual.
