Smile Snowbird, getting back into RVing - FL/NY

Greetings from the woods of Western NY.

My bride of 51 years and I have decided to "hit the road" again after a hiatus of some 20 years or so.
We started RVing with a 13' Shasta when our youngest was 6 months old (now 45), as she and her brother grew, so did our campers. When we reached a 24' Shasta ('78) some camping friends called to tell of a "free" camping weekend in Bliss, NY - south of Buffalo.
We all know there's no such thing as a "free lunch". The developer was selling sites in the woods around 2 lakes. A Deed Restricted, gated RV Community. Both families vowed to listen to the sales pitch, but no way would we buy.
Come Sunday and the final pitch, each of us had different salesmen, we caved, went to the office to sign on the dotted line. Guess who was also, our friends signing a contract as well. They too had caved!
We parked our 24' Shasta and started developing our 70' circle in Paradise. After a lightning strike a number of years later, the 24' was replaced by a 35' Shasta.
In '01 we maxed out with a Breckenridge Park Model and a sun room.
TODAY - with young grand kids (5&7) in Ohio we've decided to sell here and purchase either a Travel Trailer or 5th wheel to spend summers in, between FLA and Ohio.
We've RVed some 38 states with our kids, now we are looking to "settle" a little as snowbirds.
Sorry to bore you with why we are looking at rigs again, and have found this forum, but I'm impressed with the information offered here.
