Back to camping after a ~35 year hiatus

We are getting ready to retire and have purchased a 2015 Premier Bullet 19FBPR; the tow vehicle is a (new to us but previously owned) 2012 Ford F250 SuperDuty truck.

Prior camping experience (early 1970s) was tenting, then a 1974 VW camper van, then back to tenting, then a long hiatus.

We are looking forward to the freedom an RV provides while traveling. Many of the topics viewed so far in this forum have been very educational. I hope we manage to work within this forum properly; it is a new technology to us (we are comfortable using computers but haven't frequented social media sites) so please excuse any mistakes made while learning the ropes.

We're going into our third camping season with our Premier. We love it and so will you. We've towed it many thousands of miles and slept in it at least 50 times so far. By the way, we tented for years and then our first camper was a 1978 VW Westfalia.

Welcome. I think you'll like the Premier quite a bit over a tent. I do both but I always pay for it with my back being unhappy after the tent, even with modern ground pads and/or blow up air mattresses. The RV, no different than sleeping in my bed at home, but with better scenery.

to the forum from W TX! There are many good people on this forum and a wealth of information. Retirement is a blast and your Premier is going to make it more so. No comparison to a tent - once you get used to all the niceties it's hard to go back. Good luck!!

Bravo for your new purchase,

I have no experience in RV, I am a new comer since this summer, and I just love the Premier Bullet

Impressive photo of your rig! Our model is the 19FBPR, so it only has one slide and is quite a bit smaller. But it will suite us to a T for quite a while; our previous camping was in a VW and tenting, so we don't know what to do with all the space (or comfort).

The 19' was our first choice, it is a very nice trailer. But at last minute I realised that the Ram I had could carry a 26' so we decided to go with the bigger one.

especially that we will live in our TT for one month in Florida. We need more space.
