Good evening; I got a plastic male threaded cap from ACE Hardware. It even came with a clear rubber type strap so it can be secured to the inlet plate at one of the screws holding the plate to the trailer. Now I just need to find a round cover for my TV jack plate.

Most RV stores should have them as well.

hankaye, howdy. I am talking about the rubber piece on the city water connection the just pushes in like a plug after removing the hose, It is like the ones in the third row of your link, This is on a passport trailer I bought just the rubber piece but I see no way of slipping it on it has to go behind the hose swivel, was hoping I did not have to replace the whole dish, Thanks.

Clark,
If you bought the "rubber/pliable plastic" replacement, one end of what you bought "snaps" into the hose connection to keep dust out, the other end is like a "rubber band" and just stretches over the "hose swivel" (as you call it). It doesn't appear to stretch that much, and you may need to drop it in a pot of boiling water to "soften it up" a bit so it will stretch, but it's designed to slip over the hose fitting.
Most of us have found that the "snap in" type of dust cover doesn't stay put very well. That's why many of us have replaced it with a "screw in" plug type dust cover. They seem to remain in place much better. Cost is about the same for either, and both kinds are stocked at most RV parts stores.

I found a screw-in cover at a RV dealer. It was designed for winterizing and has a tapered small opening with a soft plastic cover on it. Haven't used it yet...waiting to lose the original one. Stop at a RV store and look around in the plumbing section.

The screw in type also works well if the inlet check valve fails. Ask me how I know this. ( if the check valve goes bad water will squirt out of inlet when water pump is turned on and empty F/W tank very quickly) JM2˘, Hank
