First RV, Ready to roll!

We will pick up the new Cougar 28RKS this Saturday, looking forward to the PDI and learning what and how everything works. Since we are so new to this, are there questions that I should ask that get missed. I have a notepad and pen to take notes.

Welcome to the forum!!
You can print the PDI form here on the forum, since I'm on my phone I can't post the link, but just search for PDI checklist.

It is very complete, and if you take it with you, you shouldn't miss anything. The only questions you should need to ask are about items not covered in your walk through. We are also all here to help if your dealer doesn't meet your expectations.

Congrats, enjoy your new trailer.

PDI link

http://www.angelfire.com/trek/buenav...PDI_V113_2.pdf

Lot of recent issues with mislabeled tank pull handles, may emphasis identifing tanks and testing each. May want to add items specific to your rig to this PDI list. Some have used a video camera to record the PDI

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your new Cougar!

We had a Cougar that served us very well for 5 yrs., with practically no problems. Hope yours does the same for you.

Happy Trails and Safe Travels to you.

Just bought the same unit we love it .all we found was a small fracture in the elbow where the fresh water hooks up.had to replace the elbow it only leaked a drop every 15 seconds but it adds up also sink covers werent included and they should of been .Dealer made it right on both issues.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new trailer!

Use the PDI mentioned previously. The dealer, or tech, my try to cut it short but insist that they take the time to cover things thoroughly. Some things mentioned in the recent past that were missed: where is the water pump? How do you winterize it? How do you fill with city water? Operation of the LP regulator (turn it SLOW to change tanks); waste tank handles - location and are they labeled correctly? Low point drain. Fresh water tank drain. AC operation, cleaning etc. Location of converter. Many others. Good luck and we are here if there are questions. I know you are excited and I'm sure all will go well.

A good PDI helps a lot. I have found the videos on YouTube to be very helpful a few years ago. Then it goes without saying, the advice and support from this Forum is invaluable. Congrats and have fun.
