We purchased used, today in a torrential downpour we noticed water coming in from behind a wall. Roof looks good going on top looking at it. No noticeable damage anywhere. Can someone tell me the warranty on the roof on Montana High Country 2019? And who would I contact about possible repair? Thank you.

You have NO Keystone or Alpha Systems warranty on your roofing membrane.

Keystone's roofing warranty extends for the first year of ownership and the Alpha Systems warranty "applies solely to the original retail purchaser of a
finished product".

The Keystone One Year Warranty is "long expired and not in force at this point".
The Keystone Three Year Structural Warranty specifically excludes the following:

From the 2019 Owner's Manual:
THE LIMITED BASE AND STRUCTURAL WARRANTIES WILL NOT APPLY TO:
• Routine maintenance including, without limitation, caulking, re-caulking and waxing of the body of the RV, tightening screws, brake squeak/lock-up/adjustment, latches, locks, combustion systems, changing fuses, or light bulbs, and maintaining the air conditioning and heating systems;
Any water leaks or related consequential damages that are a result of your failure to properly maintain the exterior seals as required in the Owner’s Manual.
• Any water leaks or related consequential damages that arise after the limited one-year base warranty expires (water leaks are covered under the base warranty and not the structural warranty);

From the Alpha Systems Warranty located at: https://alphallc.us/wp-content/uploa...d-Warranty.pdf

This Limited Warranty from Alpha Systems LLC. (“Alpha”) applies solely to the original retail purchaser of a finished product (“Product”') that includes a roof membrane supplied by Alpha (the “Alpha Roof Membrane”). Alpha warrants to the original retail purchaser (the “Purchaser”) that for a period of eighteen (18) years from the original purchase date of the Product, the Alpha Roof Membrane shall be free from defects in materials that cause the Alpha Roof Membrane to degrade, deteriorate, or dry rot. This Limited Warranty is non-transferable

Since the Alpha Systems warranty is not transferrable to you and the Keystone 1 year and 3 year structural warranties have both expired, there's no "warranty in force for your roof" and you are essentially "on your own for repairs"....

That's not the news you wanted to hear, but at this point, the repair of any water damage is between you and possibly the person you bought the trailer from. If there's any recourse available, it's dependent on your state laws and the sales agreement between the seller and you.

Now, how to repair the roof.....

First, I'd recommend climbing on the roof, cleaning it well, inspecting it COMPLETELY, look for any scrapes, cuts, broken plastic on EVERYTHING that protrudes from the top and through the membrane. Repair or replace anything that's questionable.

Then start at one end of the trailer and inspect EVERY INCH of sealant. Look for any damage, voids, loose sealant edges or missing sealant. There should be a "sealant bead" around everything that protrudes through the membrane and a sealant bead on every strip of molding that holds the membrane to the trailer roof or sidewall structure. Repair, reseal or replace any questionable sealant.

Then go inside, searching for any "water damage" and make a plan to repair that damage....

BUT: Before you start on any "water damage repair" your FIRST PRIORITY is to stop any possible leaks so there is no further damage potential from leaks.....

Your roof should be inspected at least quarterly (it's a recommendation in the Owner's Manual) by someone who has a vested interest in keeping the trailer in good repair. Whether that's you or a TRUSTED RV serviceman is a choice you'll need to make, but keep in mind that few people will maintain your property with the same "due diligence" that you will have for it, so choose any repairman carefully.

If you don't have the Alpha Systems warranty you can download it at the link above and if you don't have the Keystone 2019 Owner's Manual, you can download it here: https://keystone-rv-dealer-app.cdn.p...ers-manual.pdf

Unfortunately you now know most likely why the previous owner got rid of it.
There are countless threads about "Covid era" rvs being such poor quality, but nowadays I'd be scared to buy a used one.
Those "Covid era" rvs were also bought by folks that no idea of what they were getting into & knew nothing about rvs nor their required maintenance & either weren't physically able or skilled enough to do it anyway & found it was very expensive for someone else to do it for them. Now those folks are getting rid of them that have sat for a couple years unmaintained
unused stating "we only used it a couple times".

Welcome to the forums. Folks responding above pretty much covered it. I can't add anything new.

However, in ADDITION to this forum site sponsored by RV Life Pro, you might want to jump over and sign in on the Montana Owner's Forum..Click here. Your same user ID and password will work there too. You just need to fill out the initial information.

Between the Keystone forum and the Montana forum, you'll have absolutely every detail of your Montana covered. Lots and lots of very, very knowledgeable folks on both forums.

The difference: Montana forum is specific for Montana owners. Keystone forum covers a wide variety of Keystone models, basically, anything with the Keystone name on it. Both forums are priceless. Use them both!
