Cool It's been almost a year!

Hello everyone!

I have owned my 2016 Cougar 333MKS for almost a year now. This is our first RV. Before this rig we had never been in an RV, let along towed a trailer or 5th wheel. One day I came home from a long day at the office, only to find more work to be done at home. That's when I told my spouse: "What if we got rid of the house and moved into an RV full time?". It took us 3 months to rent out the house and sell pretty much everything we owned. We ended up going to our local dealer and were extremely impressed by Cougar's floorplans and affordability. I have not quit my job yet ( I can't, I'm active duty Air Force), but I can retire in 4 years. The plan is to take our rig on the road full time. The best we can do now is take it out every month to a different State or county park within a reasonable distance during the weekends and holidays. Last year we took it all the way from Panama City, FL to Lake Havasu, AZ. We loved almost every minute of it (except for the time we went boondocking in NM and our battery died before we were able to retract our stabilizer and jacks to hook up to our TV ). I look fwd to being an active member of the forum.

I hope you don't get sent to Andersen for your last tour
I know the Air Force will ship household goods. Not sure about whole houses I have worked with several officers in the navy who were full timers. They loved it. Welcome to the site.
