Pulled the trigger

Hey Guys,
Well, we did it, we purchased a 2016 Cougar 32FBS with a Reese Anti-Sway hitch/weight distributing plus a Prodigy Brake Control.
I am a little nervous about towing and driving but we will get as much practice as possible before actually taking her out.

My wife and I loved the interior layout of this model after looking at numerous other models and layouts.

Friends of ours just purchased a 2016 Passport Grand Touring trailer and are very happy with it.

We are ordering it because we wanted the frameless windows so we will take delivery sometime in August.

Tim

to the forum and congrats on the new trailer! Yep, waiting until August is going to be like living Christmas Eve over and over again

Pulling it won't be so bad but there is a learning curve pulling something that big behind you. You didn't say what kind of tow vehicle you have but with the trailer maxing out at 9500 lbs or so and a hitch of over 1000 lbs when loaded you will want to be looking at a "substantial" tow vehicle

You're not alone purchasing that beautiful Cougar. Yesterday I had just commented that in our very small town I saw 5 Cougars rolling through in the course of the day, some locals leaving for the weekend and some passing through from other places. Bet you can't wait!

Sourdough,
We currently own a 2009 Nissan Titan Crew Cab with the towing package. 9500 Lbs. tops me out so we will be making sure we are less than that for sure. It will usually be my wife and I and a 70 lb. Greyhound. Our kids will be driving themselves if and when they come along with us. We are a little nervous about it but will get practice before we go out on the road.

Koko,
You are correct, we cannot wait and are looking forward to delivery. One "nice" thing is August will be a little later in the season so we will take the time to become a little comfortable with towing and turning and backing up.
