Smile Newbie with a Cougar

Greetings! We are excited to head out with our 2015 Cougar 303RLI. We are pulling it with a F350 Laredo and our first time out will be up at Pahrump Lakeside RV Resort this week - compliments of the previous owners who will meet us there to show us how to hook up! We have been looking for over a year now and loved the floor plan of the Cougar...Second trip will be to Laughlin, NV with friends....!

Welcome from warm and sunny Florida! Enjoy your rig and especially the casinos in Laughlin. Over the years I've left enough $$$ there to pay for the rig I have now.

Welcome from cold and gloomy central Oregon. My husband always stays at Wine Ridge when he is in Pahrump. Would love to hear your review of Lakeside.

Welcome to the forum and on your 30RLI.

We have had our30RLI for 2 years and 8,416 miles. We really enjoy the floorplan especially the opposing slide outs and the fireplace, plus the wife likes the bedroom dresser and side to side wardrobe closet.

We have done several modifications to suit our style; most notable is the addition of 3 slide out drawers in the kitchen (makes it easier reaching the stuff in back). Also, we tiled the back of the stove area with glass tiles (sticky back) from Home Depot, and mounted a DISH satellite antenna on the trailer tongue (see thread “Satellite antenna mount on TT tongue”) and built a false front behind the TV to hide all the cables.

We removed the dining table extension because once when bringing in the slide I heard a crunch because I forgot to release the table extension to put it down. No major damage that a little touch-up couldn’t correct but if I did it once I’d do it again.

Enjoy your Cougar and life ..... Don

PS: PM me if you have any questions

We drove up to check it out...only an hour from our home...and it is beautiful! Trees, real grass, large lake and fun things for the gkids to do....looking forward to staying there. Will let you know!
