Hello all - My wife and I just purchased a new (to us) 2014 Keystone Hideout 300LHS. We have owned a travel trailer and then a 34 Damon Challenger RV. We have been out of the market for a while and we are excited to get started again. We are both teachers and will be pulling the TT with a 2016 Expedition EL with the V6 Ecoboost. Glad i found the forum and looking forward to learning more and more as we go.

Welcome and congrats on your new travel trailer. I just wanted to point out that your TV and trailer may not be a great match up. Having a trailer with a GVWR of 9800 and a tow vehicle that is limited to 9100 lbs, you're probably going to be overweight in both towing capacity and payload capacity. At 12% tongue weight on a trailer weighing in at 9000 lbs, the class IV receiver hitch is already over 100 lbs it's capacity.
I know this because I own a 6000 lb trailer and a full size Yukon XL Denali. We keep our cargo light and we're close to our capacities. Couldn't imagine pulling close to 10K lbs with a 1/2 ton chassis.
In fact, as our kids get a little older and our payload is depleted, we'll be trading up to a 3/4 ton truck. Just food for thought before the weight police "weigh" in.
