Equalizer Upgrade for my Cougar HC

With about 14K miles on my Cougar High Country RKS299, I was starting to worry about the shackles and dry bolts with my MorRyde CRE3000 equalizer. After research I decided to order the Dexter EZ Flex with wet bolt kit and had them installed yesterday by a local spring and chassis shop. I examined the old thinner shackles that were removed and the holes were indeed starting to elongate, but were probably good for another 5,000 miles. With a 6,000 mile trip coming up, I am happy I did it just for the peace of mind.
It took the shop 2.5 hours for the installation and they did it from a pit under the fiver so the grease zerks all ended up facing to the inside meaning I won't have to remove wheels to lubricate. The installation cost me $175 and was well worth not tying up a weekend trying to do it myself. I can't really tell if the ride of the fiver has changed, but I know I have one of the best equalizers, stronger shackles and wet bolts that should last for another 25,000 miles.

Thanks for the update. I've got the same suspension on my Cougar High Country but only have about 6k miles on it. Did you order the kit online? If so, where? I would be interested in upgrading mine in the near future.

I got it online from eTrailer.com. Just measure the distance from hub to hub which should be either 33 or 35" Then make sure you get the kit with wet bolts and not just the equalizers.
