Forest River Cherokee Timberwolf 16ML - ODD

Forest River came out with an odd bumper pull. Looks like a tiny house on wheels and is over 13' high (best have your route planner with underpass heights handy). Wonder what this big slab front will do for your mileage?

That’s the Forest River answer to the Tiny House brand.

The worst thing about that camper is that it only comes with one 15K BTU A/C. Can you imagine being up in that loft area on a triple digit day. Also not sure if the heat goes up there via ducting.

Good chance it is just under the 13'6' max height. But, it is way over the top on ugly and the "what were they thinking" list. What next? FR making mobile homes? That would be a quality upgrade!

They have one on display at a local dealership. I have thought about stopping and looking at it…..thought about it.

The tiny home brand ‘Escape’ is manufactured in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, 10 miles from our summer site. Models range up to $110,000 and probably more with additional goodies. I know they pump those rascals out of there.
P T Barnum may not have said it, but it is certainly apropos.

Checked out something like this at the RV show where we found our current rig. Immediate reject. We’d need to snag someone’s 8-yo kid to make the bed in the tiny loft. No way a normal adult can get the job done in that space.

It's very much like making the bed in a cab-over truck camper... Then, crawling up there to turn down the bed, crawling up there to get into bed, crawling down from there to go to the bathroom on a dark night without turning on a light to wake up DW, crawling up there after the bathroom to get back in bed.....

No thanks, My days of doing all that "expired" on my "Jack Benny birthday" (39).....

We walked into one of these at the rv show this weekend. I was underwhelmed. We both agreed it was not a good layout for use. Isn’t it a seasonal site camper? Or is it really made to be towed around? I’m confused….

Timberwolf is one of Forest River's "destination trailers". Intended to compete with Keystone's Retreat and Residence lines. They're (for the most part) intended to be parked on a site for the season, then either winterized or towed to a storage area near the site and stored for the winter.

They have some "travel trailer features" but are not intended to be towed for "vacation or weekend type travel".....

If it floated, it might make a decent houseboat.

FR has a bunch of "destination trailers". I looked Cedar Creek Cottage line and the first was a 40CKB. How does a 15,295 lb bumper pull have a 1,295 lb. hitch weight?
Must have helium in the tires. This guy is 13.5' and appears to have an upper area as well.

40CBK
HITCH WEIGHT 1,295 lb
UVW: 12,899 lb
CCC: 2,396 lb
EXT. LENGTH: 41' 6"
