We just sold our 1999 Jayco Eagle 12 UDK. We called it "The Dreamcatcher". I am sure we will name our new camper but not until we get to know it a bit....

Being that our property out in Pennsylvania tends to be a cut through for black bears and I had just retired from the fire service prior to our buying the 2011 Retreat my beloved wife to be bought a mahogany plaque with the name "Bearly Retired" with a Maltese Cross on it and the name has since stuck.

I thought our 250RS looked so huge compared to the hybrid we had before...hence the name "GIGANTOR" after actor Owen Wilson's reference to Ben Stiller's character in "Night at the Museum".

TT nickname
I have been described as an irresponsible child disguised as a responsible adult. So having said that I always refer to our TT as the "shaggin waggon" just to embarrass my wife.
What's life if you can't laugh a little.

As an ex boater and having my pilots licence to fly I called our boat Flybouy, I haven't come up with a name for the tt yet but was thinking one of my favorite movies is Christmas Vacation so I was thinking of naming it Arvy after my second favorite line in the movie by cousin Eddie "That there is an RV" most favorite line is "$hitter$ full" but the DW won't let me put that on the back but I think it most apley describes it on the trip home!

Since we travel with the three furbags (see signature), and we "moved up" from tents to RVs to better accomodate them; "The Cat House"
And...yes I'm from Southern Stock and am well aware of what a cathouse is
Even though the wife likes the name (she's the one that named our first trailer with that monicker), I haven't been able to talk her into having it painted on the back...
With three cats, I sometimes wonder if it shouldn't be named the "Litter Box" Seems like I spend the better part of our travels keeping the box in the truck and the box in the trailer "scooped".

We kept a cruiser (28 ft boat) and had it at a dock at Buckeye lake for years. We always went there on the weekends. We sold it and now have the RV. We keep saying lets get this or lets get the boat. We are in such a habit of saying boat over the years we decided to name the RV (The Boat).

RV Name
We watch a lot of movies, mostly comedies and you won't understand the reference if you haven't seen the movie "Role Models". We call our Cougar "The Wispering Eye". Pretty crude and my wife is the one that named her, so if you have seen the movie I hope you get a good laugh out of it!
p.s. What does DW, DH mean? I am new.

Darling Wife, Dear Wife or the Hoover Dam type (anything that starts with a "D", you can use your imagination... Same with D**** Husband
SIL=Sister-in-Law
BIL=Brother-in-Law
FIL=Father-in-Law
MIL=Mother-in-Law
You get the drift...
TH=Toy Hauler
5er= Fith Wheel
TT=Travel Trailer
PU=Pop Up or Pick-up
MH=Motor Home
DP=Diesel Pusher
BTW=By The Way
IMO=In My Opinion
IMHO=In My Humble/Honest Opinion
FWIW=For What Its Worth
WAG=Wild {rear end} Guess
They go on and on... You can usually figure out a lot of them by the context in which they show up... This site has most of them listed: http://www.seeya-downtheroad.com/Inf.../Acronyms.html
