Campground suggestion for Branson, Mo

We're thinking of going to Branson this summer. Any campground suggestions?

Thanks

We have stayed at ABC and KOA. I prefer the KOA. It is easy to get to and close to the strip. They have a nice pool and laundry if needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. Last year they had free pancakes every morning. Enjoy your trip

We loved the KOA. You can book shows at the clubhouse and they will shuttle you to/from.

Table Rock State Park or Port of Kimberling City Marina and Campground. You can't go wrong with either one.

To camp :http://www.bransonrvparks.com/
To book shows: http://www.bransontourismcenter.com/...t_dates=Submit
Everyone at both locations were great to deal with.

25 years ago we stayed at Cooper Creek Resort. It was outstanding !!!! When we went to Branson 2 years ago, we naturally booked a week at CC Resort. What a difference time makes. We were so very disappointed. I wouldn't suggest a stay at CC Resort if there are sites available in any of the other campgrounds in or around Branson.

We stayed at Table Rock State Park last year and we loved it. The park was well maintained, almost right on the lake, and it is a short drive to Branson. Everyone very much enjoyed it.

We go to Branson all the time and love it. We don't do lots of "shows"; they're nice, and when the good ones are there, the Chinese acrobats are cool. We talked to some folks that said they made at least 3-4 shows a week. We told them we were long time Branson fans and went to "maybe" a show every 2-3 weeks.

If you go, our favorite place is Silver Dollar City. We used to buy season passes for the family but now they have moved too far away...we still love it and think it's the best time there....for us. We love Tablerock and always rent a boat for a day, or 2 afternoons, there to just look at the lake; it's beautiful...and, you can catch some fish if you bring your stuff.

We don't take our RV there; we stay in a condo. We have looked around in the event that we might take the RV there. The KOA looked pretty nice.

Staying in Branson

Just returned from a 5 night stay in Branson. Stayed the first night at the KOA in Springfield MO. Nice campground, only negative it's close to a busy railroad, heard train whistles frequently at night. It is about 50 miles from Branson, but if you want to go to the original Bass Pro Shop, that is nice.

The other 4 nights we stayed in a private RV park, Treasure Lake, which is a time share type of property, which I didn't even know about for RV parks. We stayed as guests of a friend of ours, and the guest rate for full hook up was $20 a night - members are $8. Sites on the small side, but lots of other amenities. If you go to Branson frequently, you should check it out.

We really liked Top of the Rock, and the Natural history museum, want to do the nature preserve in the future.

BTW, Sourdough and I traded information about towing in the Branson area, and it is a good test for our rig! Enough hills, but mostly 4 lane interstate.
