Welcome congrats and good luck. Once you get it let us know if you have questions. Hopefully you will not have leak issues.

Chad:
Welcome to having a home on wheels. My wife and I are retired and bought our first RV last year. I had spent some 6 years researching and reading everything I could on all type of RV's. Once we retired we purchased a new 2012 Cougar 24RKSWE (27') and a new 2012 Tundra Dbl Cab, 4.6 engine with two-wheel drive.

First thing is matching a tow vehicle that is rated to tow your 31' TT, also check the GCWR or gross combined weight of trailer and truck, you do not want to exceed this number. A weight transfer hitch and anti-sway control to match the weight of your trailer are very important. The better the match up of trailer, truck and tow gear the better you will feel on the road. Check out your local Library, there are many good books full of information as well as magazines like Trailer Life. The more you know the better your trailer experience will be. A good dealer can be a treasure trove of information, ask questions! One last safety point, always check tire air pressure on your TT anytime you are ready to head out.

The more time you take to understand towing and how to set up and use a TT the more fun you will have and the safer you will be.

Chad,

to the RVing lifestyle. If you and your wife enjoy it half as much as most of us, you'll be hooked for life

Look around the forum, there's a wealth of information available and if you can't find what you're looking for using the search button found in the blue bar at the top of each page, just ask, someone will guide you toward answers.

We look forward to hearing more about your new RV and your new lifestyle.

Welcome, Very Nice Rig

Congratulation’s
Our first camper was a Keystone Sprinter 2010 297 RET. We really liked it. It had the power stabilizers and power hitch, if you were in a campground that had level lots it only took about 15 mins to setup. We also liked the power awing and the over-all quality of the unit. We looked at the 2013 models at an RV Show this winter and it looks like they have changed the décor in them. Make sure your Tow Vehicle is big enough (I can't stress this enough) as it makes it a lot more enjoyable to go camping. My 297 weighed around 9500 loaded and the first year I towed it with a 2009 Toyota Tundra. I took the dealers word that it would tow it ok. After that first summer of white knuckle driving it didn't take me long to buy another truck. I replaced it with a 2011 6.7 3500 Dodge Dully, a bit of a over kill but I figured if we ever wanted a fifth wheel later on I would be set. I tow a lot on I-68, I-77 and I-79 in West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland. These Highways have some real steep grades and sharp turns on them. Towing with the dully is like day and night and I love the engine brake it really saves on your trailer brakes and truck brakes. I am glad I got the dully because I traded my sprinter in on a 381 Fuzion this winter and I didn't have to look for a bigger truck. I’m sure you will have a great time this summer in it and welcome to the forum.

Congrats on the new camper. We are newbies too and just got back from our first trip. Did not want to come home and we love our Keystone Premier. Planned another trip for the end of May.
Enjoy your new camper! Welcome to the Keystone family
