Thank you all for the replies, based on your comments looks like there’s more benefit than harm using a soft start, I’ll get them for both my units and I’ll just upgrade the factory 200 watt solar to a 1200 watt solar panel setup with 4 200ah batteries. That should keep me going. Only thing I’m debating is if I should go with a 12, 24 or 48 volt battery bank and add a DC to DC converter with the higher volt bank, I know I’ll have 9600 watt hours regardless of setup but I’m worried about the current draw from running the 12 volt hydraulic pump on 6 point level jacks and slide out, wondering if I’ll cause any harm to that pump motor unless I find a reliable 48 to 12 volt converter capable of handling such a load, haven’t done much research on that yet, perhaps have one dedicated 12 volt battery for that setup only, I don’t know, maybe I’m over complicating things too much.
Any advices will be appreciated
