king swift IP?
Have a King Swift and can't connect to the set up website which must be accessed via an IP address. IP = 192.168.0.1 - have sent two emails and no response and used the chat feature and was told the site was up and to try a different device (have used laptop and Android phone) and can't get to that IP. Can someone ping this IP or see if the site comes up in your browser? TIA

You have to connect to the device’s WiFi before you can connect via IP to edit settings.

I know. Asked if someone could ping the IP address or put it in web browser and see if King's webpage comes up.

A 192.168.0.1 address is what most routers use as their default address on your local network.
You are not going to get to any outside website with that address.
Read this info:
https://19216801.one/
https://19216811.uno/192-168-0-1/

Have you tried disabling your anti-virus software? Some anti-virus software will block it.

You first connect to the King device's WiFi with your phone or tablet. That connects you to the King device network. Once connected you should have access to the IP address from your documentation to edit settings.
192.168.0.1 sounds like a viable IP...My documentation tells me to use:
http://mykingwifi.com
You might try that address...it always works for me and I can edit all of the device settings from there.
Check out page 5 in this manual

From King's support page: https://kingconnect.com/wifi-support
*KING WIFI CONNECTION NOTICE*
Check Your Connection: Make sure you're connected to the KING WiFiMax™ network on your device.
Access the Setup Page: Open your web browser, type in 192.168.0.1. This will take you directly to mykingwifi.com.
I have never had any issues connecting in the past. This has me stumped.

Hmmm...not sure what to make of it. Did you try the link I gave you in my last post?

The link won't work unless you first connect your laptop or phone to the King router via the connection already set up. The default is Kingxxxxx2g or something (it is on the bottom of the router) and once you change the name to wg2 from the default, you just connect to it then put in the router IP address and bingo, it goes to the setup page. From there, you select the wifi you want to boost and put its SSID and password in and wg2 becomes the wifi (most of the time the campground wifi or if at home my wifi signal off an extender gizmo I have at the house). I just got my refrigerator fixed yesterday and haven't camped or used the King Swift for many weeks so just got rusty (actually am old and my wife pins my name to my shirt so I know who I am if asked). THanks wg

George,
Good to know the refrigerator is working again. Sounds like the second cooling unit must have arrived "undamaged" ????

It did. Put some bowls of water in the freezer and main section of the refrigerator (I had removed all the shelves, drawers and all food items) and it seems to be working great again. Checked on gas and then ran it overnight on electricity. The missus is going up today to do a good cleaning and I need to clean the cabin good and we should be ready to get back to our camping trip. Weather hasn't been very good (cool-cold and misty rainy) for the past week or so.

The 192.168.x.x range is "nonroutable" -- it is one of several (another is 10.x.x.x) reserved for the internal use of local (like your personal) networks and does not belong to any recognized Internet host. So other people can't ping yours.
If you can connect to the WiFi (even if not "through" it), bring up the network connection on your phone or computer and look at the addresses involved. All of them will show you your own IP address on that network, the "gateway" or "router" address, and some other fields like subnet mask, DNS, etc. The address you want to type in is the gateway or router address field. You may find it is something other than 192.168.0.1 if somebody played with your router before you did. If it is in fact 192.168.0.1 and doesn't work, then your router is bad and may need to be reinitialized or replaced.
