Battery questions

We have 2020 Montana 3121RL which we purchased new in December of 2020 and have put a lot of miles on since we purchased. Just recently replaced both batteries with the same type that came with the unit. Prior to replacing we could park the camper for months with the power turned off and when we would pick it up we would turn the power back on and the slides plus some lights would work, however since the installation of the new batteries this is NOT the case. Batteries drain down to nothing in a week and nothing will work until plugged in the truck. Any ideas???

Either A your not turning the batteries off, or B there is a parasitic draw on the batteries now somehow??

Even with the battery cutoff switch turned OFF there are other items drawing current that are hot wired directly to those batteries..

Typically - without having the converter running or some sort of trickle charger the batteries will die in about 7 to 14 days...

If you remove the negative terminal connection at the batteries this will stop all parasitic draw - but your CP/LP detector will be dead as well.

I run two GC2 6 volt golf cart batteries.. they are now 8 years old and are as good as day one... Much better battery then typical 12 volt LA wet cell or AGM style .. IMO
