New member from Gulf Shores, AL

We just purchased a 2014 Cougar X-Lite 32RET. Tried towing with 2010 Ford Expedition last weekend. A little too much trailer for the Expedition. Traded it in for a F250 4x4 CC Diesel. Can't wait to get break in milage on truck so I can see how much better it tows.

We have been camping for many years starting with a 86 Travelmaster that was built on 1 ton Toyota. Had that for 11 years.

Just got rid of a 1996 Coachman 30 class C. Had many fine trips with it, mostly in CO. We moved down to LA (Lower Alabama) 4 years ago from Colorado.

Going to take some getting used to for this new rig.

Wow, first let me apologize, we are usually much better at welcoming new members to the forum!

Congrats on the new trailer and truck. I'm sure you will love the setup.

Gulf Shores AL Campgrounds?

Where are some really nice campgrounds in the vicinity of Gulf Shores, AL?

I've searched my sources; and I can't find anything on or very near the beach.

Where do you camp down there?

For camping on the beach
Check out the Fla panhandle
I hear there are some campgrounds on the beach there
We just don't do that type of camping

I camp at several different places inland
Because I know some folks that we meet up with and travel around to fish together
