Hello from Colorado!

Hi! My name is Michelle and my husband, Michael, and I have been camping since 2012. We currently own a 3220BH Keystone Passport Ultralite Grand Touring Edition. Before this trailer we owned a Coachmen Spirit of America 24QBT. We have 2 children so the Coachmen wasn't nearly big enough for us and all of our stuff but it was a great starter trailer and we learned quickly that we love camping.

Both Michael and I camped as kids with our parents in tents and pop up campers so we knew what it was like but just didn't know we would enjoy the work that goes into a trip. And our camping is much different than when we were kids, with iStuff and XBox, etc. It's just nice to have all of us together even if we are doing different things.

So far, we haven't explored outside of Colorado. We enjoy the state parks and KOA campgrounds. Nothing further than 2 hours from home. Michael is worried that his 2009 Dodge Ram Longhorn Hemi Crewcab will not haul our trailer AND all of the stuff we pack plus the 4 of us. We bought the truck used and have way too many payments to make to risk it breaking down or dying on us. I, on the other hand, think we would be fine as long as we took it slow. No matter. We will extend our radius at some point.

We camp all year long. We have camped in the snow. We like the colder nights sitting by the fire making s'mores. Michael recently took up Dutch oven cooking and we are experimenting with different recipes over the open flames.

I hope I can add value to this blog. For now, I'll just start reading.

from some neighbors to the south. We are planning at least a couple camping trips up into your beautiful state in the coming months! And yes, camping is a awesome way to spend time together as a family.

Welcome to the forum from another Coloradan! Dutch Oven cooking is a lot of fun and can be quite addicting.
