Bullet 220RBI

Thanks for adding me to the group. I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone. I live on the Texas Gulf Coast.

I just bought my 2018 Bullet 220RBI about a month ago. I have been getting it stocked up and ready for the shakedown trip. I planned on going this week but the rain won't let up long enough. Hopefully next week will be better.

I installed a backup camera this past weekend. My rig was not prewired for a camera so I mounted a license plate style camera.....except i made a bracket for it to mount on the rear bumper. I made it so I can remove the camera when not in use. Removing temptations.....

This is my first time to own a hard body travel trailer. I have had a cab over and a popup in the past. We were out of the camping mode for about 20 years before getting back into the lifestyle. My wife and I planned on getting a trailer after I retired. Sadly, I lost her 2 years ago so we never got back to it. When I retired I decided I would fulfill our plans. But rather than getting a larger rig, I bought the 220RBI.....I bet it fits me and my dog just right.

I'm pulling my trailer with a Ram 1500. It has the 5.7 Hemi. The picture was taken at my dealership, RV Outlet Mall in Georgetown, TX. As soon as I can get it to a campground I will post more pictures.

Frank, Welcome from yet another Texan! Sorry to hear of your loss. You're running all over territory familiar to me. I live just north of Schulenburg but grew up just SE of Geotgetown and still have family there. Welcome to the forum, I think you'll enjoy it here. Maybe we'll cross paths out there some where.

Frank, we camp there several times a year. I have family that run that park. We were there this past weekend and even took a dip in the river for a while.

Frank, welcome to the forum. We forgive being a Texan almost automatically...(Yep, a little Thursday humor) We also have 'camped' at Leisure Resort when we had the grandgirls at the waterpark some years ago. I believe my Mastercard barely survived the trip. We love to travel in your area. The riding in the spring is fantastic!

Frank,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for your loss, but what a nice way to honor your life together.

I am also single with a 60 pound dog. I owned a 2015 220RBI from August 2015 until May last year. It's a nice trailer for one one or two people with plenty of storage. It was my first trailer with slides, and ultimately I decided they weren't worth the hassle for the extra space and "traded down" to a 21' no slide model from another manufacturer. But I spent 5 months boondocking in a State Forest in it in 2016 and again in 2017 so I'm pretty familiar with it. If you have any specific questions about it give a shout.

Keith

Hello all ,I’m in Central Fl. And the wife And I just bought Slightly used 2018 220RBI and will be pulling her with a 2012 Durango R/T. This is our first Land Yacht as I was in marine industry for years captained larger boats so I’m hoping it is just as relaxing . I know I have a lot to learn and have dived right in making it my own. I have customized boats for years and enjoy doing it. Only had it a few weeks and added 2 group 27 deep cycle batteries, a dual battery switch ,mounted circuit breakers in dry box out of the elements ,front power Jack with hidden power switch as theft protection and where the manual handle goes I put a large ballbearing in it so handle won’t work but easly removes with magnet pick up tool. Making. Fiberglass spare tire cover with boat mural on it.
Looking forward to adventures and chatting with other members .
