50 amp roll up
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....1fxipUIBzL.jpg
Sorry the picture didn't pull up but the link did, just wondering if anyone has tried to reel up a 50amp power cord in one of these? Looks like a great idea, but don't know if they are strong enough or big enough. If you have and it worked or didn't work, let me know

Does it have any rating on it? Does it state will hold x amount of x size wire? From the picture I'd guess it would maybe hold 50' of # 14 wire extension cord.

Our 2017 Bighorn has a OEM power reel for the 50 amp shore power cable. It is a nice feature.
I do not think a plastic reel will stand up well under the demands of the 50 amp cable. There are metal ones available. Chris

That is certainly not sturdy enough for a 50A Power Cord.....6 ga/4 conductor cable. When I had my enclosed trailer I had a power cord for it, about 70' long and it was 8ga/4cond. and I bought a fairly sturdy water hose reel and mounted it on a little cart with wheels. It worked pretty good, but again, there is still a substantial difference between 8ga and 6ga cable.

Replace the factory cable with SOO cable it is much easier to coil and store.

You need steel at minimum to reel up a 50 amp cord. Morryde makes the one that I use:

I have a 427 and mounted the reel on the left side of the driver side storage door. Left of water hookups.

I bought the MorRide metal one. It cost $114 but it works very well. I didn't even bolt it down. Used it twice and have no problems putting the 50 amp away. Can run a rag over the cord while cranking it in to get the gravel dust off.

might not work for the 50 amp cord, but it might work for the blue gforce water hose.

We bought a manual crank MorRide from Amazon. It was about $114 and have used it three times and are happy with it. No worries about motors. We didn't have to bolt it down, although it was recommended. Also, you can cean the cable with a rag while cranking into the spool.
