Alpine/Turning on Cargo Lights

We have a friend that has a brad new Alpine with the touch screen control panel. All lights inside are controlled with that system. He told DH he can’t find anywhere to turn on his cargo lights in the basement area. Would that be on that same digital display inside or is there a way to turn them on outside?

Just a guess but, some do not know about the remote. Does it have a remote control if so, it may be controlled by that.

Hello
I have a 2017 Alpine 3660FL. U turn on the cargo/ compartment lights by pressing the touch screen security lights. Then at the basement each light has button in the center.

He will need to turn on the security lights on the control panel. Once he does that each of the cargo lights has a button on the center to turn them on. That’s the way it is on our 2019 Alpine.

I wish there was a way to rename the button on the control panel from “Security Lights” to “Cargo Lights”. It seems that is not possible.

This is the way it works on my 3301 GR as well.

The same is true if you have a "Docking Light" as it is on the same Security Lights circuit. The switch for the Docking Light on my Alpine 3400RS is in the compartment for the batteries and hydraulic pump. The Docking Light is the blue-colored LED light strip that looks like a smile on the front cap.

Sounds like this is at least one thing that all Alpines have in common!

I extended the wire from the docking light switch (located in the hydraulic pump compartment) to the InCommand control box. I connected the wires to the terminals for the small exterior light under the stairs. Now both lights operate simultaneously from in the InCommand control center.
